I use my phone for navigation on the dash of my car and the phone gets SO hot from the sun and using the GPS and charging. This little umbrella is brilliant. You can manoeuvre it down low so you can still see over the dash and it keeps the phone much cooler. It also keeps reflections off the screen and makes it easier to see. I've even had other 4WDer asking where I got it from. Recommended.

I absolutely love this little thing. It is super handy on the beach and really helps to see your screen and not the glare of the sun. The loop on the back is nice and firm, but after long amounts of time from use can become uncomfortable.

Bought this after seeing someone at an event using their phone all day in the sun. Before this it was hard to see my phone out in the bright sun. Fun & Cute

This is probably the most obnoxious thing I have ever purchased but I absolutely LOVE it. Used it all day today while sitting by the lake and it was sunny. Not only blocked the sun from my phone, but just enough to also block the sun from my face saving me from a sunburn. It is super fun and cute, quality is quite literally amazing. The size/coverage is perfect, it might be a little big for some people who want it to be a little more subtle, but for me I love it and is actually an impulse purchase I do NOT regret getting.

It's ridiculous how much I love this thing!

If you're on the fence between this one, and one of those cheap ones that are all over Amazon, just pay the extra money and get this one. This is hands down one of the best purchases I've ever made.

I do Doordash, UberEats, Shipt etc.. and every summer my phone absolutely ROASTS in the dashboard. I've got it up there to see/accept orders, and for the gps. Plus those apps kill your battery, so you pretty much have to have your phone plugged in charging the entire time too. Which we know just heats up our phone even further.

So every summer, for the past few years, I've been saying, man, I wish they made some kind of little umbrella or something to shade my phone while I'm driving. I had looked briefly before, but nothing really ever caught my eye.

This year, with our crazy heatwave in SoCal (regularly getting above 110°) I was like ok, enough is enough. So I can't on Amazon determined to find something.

I was bombarded with listings for all those cute little colorful umbrellas. I was tempted, but there were a few things I didn't really like about them.

1.) Most of those other umbrellas looked more decorative than functional, and I saw some people comment that the sun and heat just goes straight through the cheap fabric.

2.) Since I was going to be using this solely in my car while driving, I was nervous about the umbrella size blocking a good portion of my windshield, or being too small and be useless.

The setup that I have in my car for my phone and this umbrella is absolutely perfect. I bought a cd player phone holder here on Amazon, which is another one of those must have products if you work in your car like I do.

Have you ever bought something that afterwards when you use it you actually feel giddy? I know it sounds ridiculous, but that's how I feel when I use this little umbrella. It just works soooo perfectly I can't even stand it.

I also didn't realize how much I couldn't see due to the glare on my phone from the sun. With this umbrella, I can see the whole screen perfectly. (I hadn't adjusted the umbrella in the picture, that's why there's still sun and glare on the screen.)

Bottom line is if you're looking for a little umbrella to keep the heat and or glare/sun off your phone, just but this one. Don't waste your time with one of those cheap ones that you'll just end up returning or throwing out anyways.

Worth it

I take a lot of walks and my phone always tends to overheat and the glare from the sun makes it impossible to see the screen. Well, this weekend I went to an outdoor Pokémon Go event and decided to finally get one of these for the occasion, despite how goofy they look to me. My only problem is that I didn't get more than one of them because my group was taking turns with it. It's easy to use and pack in my bag, seems pretty durable. 100% recommend!

It adheres to my phone and doesn't budge. The umbrella itself seems sturdy and the material is thick. This is made of metal and hard plastic, which, compared to the other options out there, means it's much more durable. Highly recommend!

Cell phone shade umbrella is AMAZING!!!

Helps prevent my cell phone from overheating and getting a black screen. I have unfortunately experienced the worst case scenario when using my gps on cell in the middle of a heatwave. It overheats and shuts down and have to hold it over the ac vent while on full blast to cool down the battery and phone.
Great investment and invention. Years ago I wanted to create something for this purpose and your cell shade umbrella met and exceeded my expectations. It looks great, and fits my cell perfectly so I do not have to hold it. The purple one I got looks beautiful and so far durable as I can tell, but I only used it about 3 times, and received compliments all around.

Genius invention

I spend a lot of time by the pool and as a realtor, I need to be on my phone a lot. Yes, even on vacation. The sun glare makes it hard to do or see anything on my phone. This invention is perfect! I know it may seem silly but it really works! It allows me to see everything needed and work from my phone. Also my phone doesn't over heat from being in the direct sun. Even when I'm not working but want my phone out, I have it shaded by the umbrella. The amount of people who walk by and comment about my phone umbrella and how smart of an idea it is… I can't even count. The value is great. I bought the black but would likely buy more colors.

My umbrella arrived today and I immediately put it on my phone. There were no instructions and I scanned the QR code on the box, but it would not open the website so I just figured it out myself.
I needed to put it on the outside of my phone case and I was worried it wouldn't stick or when I took off the umbrella it would come off, but I am thrilled. It did not budge. I have taken the umbrella off and on several times and it seems to be holding tightly.
(I do wish you came in other colors such as red.)
